Both limits are independent: you can hit the burst cap momentarily without affecting your daily quota.
What counts as one request?
One API call equals one request — full stop. There are no hidden multipliers, no weighting based on response size, and no credit system. Whether you look up a single card or use a batch endpoint to fetch 20 cards at once, each API call counts as exactly one request.
Can I switch plans?
Yes, upgrade or downgrade anytime from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately so you get the higher limits right away. Downgrades apply at the start of your next billing period.
What happens if I exceed my limit?
You'll receive a 429 Too Many Requests response with a Retry-After header telling you when to try again. Your daily limit resets at midnight UTC. Upgrade your plan for higher limits.
Can I use the Free plan for commercial projects?
No. The Free plan is limited to non-commercial use only — personal projects, learning, and testing. If you're building a product, running a business, or making money from an app that uses our API, you need the Trader plan or above.
